Gorgeous Late Blooming Daylilies

For many gardeners their big daylily bloom push is almost over. If you planted some late blooming daylily cultivars then you will still be enjoying a riot of colour from these amazing perennials. If not, then there is always next season. A walk around our daylily farm to see what daylilies are still in full bloom will show you what I mean.

  • I just love the Daylilies blossom as they are continuously blossomingthroughout the season! Most varieties first bloom in Late Spring/Early Summer, then will keep blooming through the summer and even into first frost.

@Kala Professional Restoration services In my experience you have to plant a mix of daylilies to get that long a season of bloom. There are early, middle and late-season varieties, but I don't know of any cultivar that starts early and keeps going all summer long.
  • Yes Douglas, you are right about that. There are no daylilies that continually bloom. You need a mix. Some do rebloom quite well later in the season. Works well in the south but us northern gardeners usually run out of time for this to happen well.
