Hand Painted Wedding Ceremony Sign

This is a rustic-chic wedding sign that I painted and was hung at my best friend's wedding ceremony. I do not own a cutting machine of any kind, so everything was done without a true stencil. The steps I took can be used for any similar project, whether or not it's wedding related. I made a print-out of the words in the font that I wanted, attached it to the board with painter's tape, and painstakingly outlined each and every letter by hand, putting pressure on the paper in order to make an indention in the wood. I then literally painted it all by hand. The sign was perfect, if I do say so myself!
Since I don't own a cutting machine and wasn't able to make a stencil, I traced each of those letters by hand, making an indention into the wood.
After I hand-painted each letter using a small brush, I outlined them with an opaque paint pen in order to make them pop.
Here is the finished sign as it hung on my bff's wedding day!
