Jeff Lim on Aug 15, 2016May I ask why did you want to do this? Betta or Siamese Fighting fish is a Labyrinth Fish. It actually needs water surface to gulp air and breathe. The plant root will deprive the poor animal of such. Bettas as also carnivorous fish. They do not live on plant roots. So in the end this idea is actually slowly suffocating and starving the poor animal. Please reconsider doing this project. Thank you.Helpful Reply

Sue on Aug 15, 2016Yes, Siamese Fighting Fish (Beta) in large vase with Peace Plant floating on top. I've always thought it was cruel. Fish needs more space and more air; doesn't live very long.Helpful Reply

Jeff Lim on Aug 16, 2016Glad to hear it Terry. Maybe just do the plant thing without the fish. Add loads of sparkly glass stones. Way better looking too.Helpful Reply
