Hot Decorating Trends in Blue and White

2 Materials
Blue and white is a classic decor choice not only for summer, but for every season. It's timeless and elegant and can be infused into any style from French, cottage to the farmhouse look that is on trend these days. Here are a few tips, taken from my blog...
I love the look of old mattress ticking and this pillow is actually new striped fabric that is suited for use outdoors as well as inside! I've shown it here in my living room, but sometimes take it out to the patio as well. I added a ruffle that is also made of weather resistant fabric for the feminine touch that I prefer.
This breakfast set is a marriage of an old card table that I refinished with chalky paint and a set of vintage caned French style chairs. I recovered the chairs with true vintage French grain sack fabric that has subtle blue and white stripes. Blue in decor can be done with simple touches and I share more tips for using blue and white on my blog at www.shabbyfufu.com that will be linked for you below.
I found some old blue and white toile curtain panels at a yard sale several years ago. Since I love to change things out frequently at home I simply pinned a panel to either side of the French doors in my dining room. It's a look that can easily be swapped out.
Chinoiserie is hot right now and I placed these 3 blue and white vases on the living room mantel with some hydrangeas. Simple yet elegant is my favorite way to do blue and white forever!
