Use for phone surround?

I bought an old wood wall phone surround. It was meant to hang on the wall over a wall phone, had a slanted surface for writing notes on, a small drawer, and a hole for attaching a pen or pencil with a string or chain. I painted it red, and it looked really cute in our Coca-cola themed kitchen, but we have no wall phones in our new place, just cell phones. Any ideas for a new use?

I don't really know what it looks like but could you use it for a charging center for your cell phones?

What about using like a locker at your front door and hang your coats/belongings in it. You could use hooks or a coat tree.

Could you use it as a place where you lay a recipe as you're baking/cooking? Or keep it as a place you write notes for grocery shopping, notes to family/yourself?

Could this be converted to a spice rack by adding shelves ?

Give it a shabby chic look. It will then add a nice décor to your kitchen. Regardless of what you end up using it for.

You could add a red painted peg board to back and add decorative hooks for keys, put a post-it note pad on the slanted part with a pen or pencil.
