A Bathroom Vanity Makeover

Salvaging a vanity and giving it a new lease on life...on a budget!
*I buy old, ugly, and neglected houses and flip them all by myself! It's a crazy DIY house-flipping life, so come follow along on my blog- The Bachelorette Pad Flip: https://bachelorettepadflip.com/
In this retro flip, the laundry room shares a space with a bathroom. The original vanity had aged significantly. The cabinets had yellowed with age, the hardware had been painted over, the countertop was faded...and that's not all. It needed a major overhaul...just not on a major budget!
Since the original hardware was in need of an update, I was able to replace them with vintage inspired pulls! The colonial style stayed true to the integrity of the era, but the brushed nickel modernized them.
Using my perfect cabinet painting method [check out my blog for info!], I kept the existing cabinets. The new paint gave these 50 year old cabinets a new, fresh face!
I moved the original towel rod from the cabinet to the wall. The original countertops were covered with a new laminate and trimmed with common retro era finish- brushed nickel metal.
I removed the old mirror and replaced it with a beachwood inspired one. I have plans to replace that ugly, industrial style light, but I haven' found the right one yet.
I salvaged the sink from another bathroom in the house that is undergoing a remodel. The faucet was an insane sale deal at Lowe's-- only $5! And finally, I updated the outlet with a GFCI for safety.
