DIY CD COASTERS
These DIY CD Coasters are incredibly simple, easy and they’re a great way to re-use and repurpose old CDs that you no longer use. A fun and engaging kids crafting activity that also make great gifts for family and loved ones!
If you’re finding that your family are putting glasses and mugs down on wooden furniture and leaving watermark damage (despite your asking them not to), then this is a useful activity to help them remember to put their glass on their specially made drinks coaster. It’s a great way to explain to kids the effects of different temperatures on water and how this causes condensation and water beading on the outside of the glass. Nothing like a quick science lesson!
This craft is great for fine motor skills and is so quick and easy that it’s an appropriate and fun activity for a wide range of ages.

I like your idea. But the coasters really need a bit of cork in the middle. Yes, it's a good science project for kids. But not practical for absorbing the condensation.
