Concrete turning green

I have concrete slabs laid on my patio and pathways. They don't look too bad when they've been jet-washed but they go green so quickly I wondered if there's anything I can use to stop the algae building up quite so quickly? Help!!

location, location, location..... the driveway is probably on the north side of your house. The slab by the side garage door of my previous house was always green...... North side of the house.

Hi Lynn My main problem area runs east to west and is the path that runs along the side of the house, between the house and the garage. There is a small stream at the end of my garden so that might contribute to the problem in some way but it's a good 40-45 feet away from the path.

Try a product called wet-and-forget available at home improvement stores.

Just use some weed killer stuff but keep all your animals and children away from the area until it is completely dry.

Thank You Georgette Volpe Fuller for that suggestion, I'll give it a go. Such an obvious solution too!
