Weekend Scrap Wood Projects
Raise your hand if you have scrap wood sitting in your garage? I'm first!!! I wanted to get all this extra wood out of my garage before my garage sale and definetly before winter. These were left over pieces from a friends backyard makeover. I didn't have to cut anything for these do it yourself wood projects, everything was just waiting to be painted.. Love these kind of projects.
Do It Yourself Wood Projects Directions:
Select different sized scrap wood. I had 2 x 4’s.. but you can use any size you have.
Spray paint? Craft Paint? Chalk Paint? What do you have? I had spray paint in these colors.. Pumpkin Orange, cinnamon, and burnished amber. Just in case you want to see…
Next I found twigs in the yard and cut them to various heights.
I glued them on to the top with my E6000 Glue
I added wax to seal and then added a little antiqying wax for more character.
Cut pieces of burlap, raffia.. what ever type of ribbon or string you have.
Viola! This project is Finished!
Don’t stop reading!!!!! I also did this project from scrap wood… (Here’s the story ) As I was picking up my neighbor’s extra pieces that he didn’t need… he had several cut in a fun way… inspiration struck and my favorite candy appeared… yes.. I love Candy Corn 🙂
f you are wondering about the pumpkin behind them… my sister and her husband made this for me last year…I had to make a new top piece …shh – don’t tell 🙂
Have you made scrap wood projects? I have more in the garage waiting for me to finish… One day soon.. they will be 🙂
Until next time!!
If you want to check out the ideas that I pinned.. my website has the link.
