Quick & Easy Chair Makeover

I found this chair on Craigslist several months ago. I had intended to use it for my daughter’s desk but it didn’t quite fit. It was just sitting in the pile of forgotten projects until I found this easy solution for a quick makeover:
MATERIALS NEEDED:

Sad chair in need of a makeover

Krylon chalky finish spray paint (aff link)- the exact color I used can be found here

Fabric (1/2 yard)

Upholstery foam

Staple gun (aff link)-you will need a staple gun for adding the new fabric
I removed the cushion and took the chair outside to paint. It has rained almost everyday this summer so I had to wait for it to clear up (that’s the only downside to using the spray).

It seriously only took 10 min to spray this chair and it was so much easier than using traditional paint and brush in all those nooks and crannies!

You would never believe this was done with spray paint! I absolutely LOVE the way it looks! It has a matte finish with no shine. It can even be distressed if that’s the look you’re going for.
You will probably want to add some wax or poly to the chair after painting to keep it from chipping (since this is a chalky paint and not traditional spray paint).

I changed out the fabric on the chair and I was done. Another easy makeover!
