Snow Village Lamp

I am participating in a decorating challenge hosted by Hometalk and Lamps Plus. Making a snow village inside this fabulous lamp was so much fun! I hope you enjoy.
I decided to make three houses so that there would be a view from all sides of the lamp.
If you can cut, glue, paint, and glitter, you can make these miniature houses.
The patterns for my three houses are free and downloadable PDF's, and are located in my post.
For one roof, I broke apart small pine cones and used them for the roof shingles. I used a piece of burlap ribbon for the second roof, along with a pound of glitter.
Search the Christmas craft section of your local craft store for items to decorate your houses.
For the shade, I hot glued burlap trim on the top and bottom. Next, I used Elmer's glue and applied little snowflakes from the craft store. And because I'm a sucker for a bow, a simple white bow adorns the middle of the shade.
