My hubby was installing some granite with adhesive glue to cinder block and accidentally turned one of them on the wrong side. What's the best way to remove it?

I would gently pry it up from the base. A flat pry bar as the starting tool and then tap in some shims as you work your way across. Those look like sink cutouts?
  • If the adhesive has dried, its not going to be easy to remove, and then once your successful in doing that, it may be difficult if not impossible to remove the glue without staining the surface of the stone. KMS has a good idea, but you need to add to that method. Much like removal of a mirror you need to cut into the glue to get it to release. A long thin wire with a few pliers should be used to cut into the space as you begin to apply pressure between the stone and the brick. As you rub the wire back and fourth you should be able to release it from the bricks. Once removed, you need to use chemicals to dissolve the glue. For them you need to refer to the stuff you used. They may make some special remover for this, if not you will need to experiment with different types. If your husband decides to put down sod, remind him Green side up. He will never forget he did this. lol

Have someone come out and polish the "wrong side."

I did something similar but with travertine - cut a really intricate piece out in reverse of what I needed. I used wet/dry emery paper on a hand sander to slowly bring the polish level up. You could probably accomplish the same thing, just takes some time. Good luck
