I wanted a workshop of my own to do my furniture and woodworking projects. We decided to built one ourselves - my husband is pretty handy!
Cleared the land and staked out the building...we ended up with a space that would be about 12 x10 to build on.
Poured the concrete for the footers, built the base, there will be a small front porch on the front - that is the reason for the beams sticking out.
Built the wall frames...
Walls are framed out - you can clearly see where the windows and door will be now...
We have walls!
The interior walls look like this and still do, I did not paint or insulate it (yet).
Our dogs had to be part of the action...
Roof is framed out and you can see the cool antique transom window we installed over the front door. We found the transom window and the other windows at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Roof is on, windows are installed...
Roof is on - shingles go on next...
Hubby bought a new paint sprayer and was excited to use it!
I wanted a Dutch Door - could not find one that was used or inexpensive, so we made one and I painted it bright red to match my house doors! It costs about $40 to make.
A window box (we already had it) was added and we are in the process of adding an outdoor potting bench with a sink! How do you like my $5 reclaimed windows?
The SheShop is done! Added electric for power tools and lighting. The entire build cost just over $2,000.

How lucky you are to have your own space! I would say that your husband is moe than just "handy".

Looks great. Which the "she" had built the shed instead of all those guys. And why is the " She-Shed " outside but a man- cave gets to be inside where it's heated and has easy access to a bathroom? Lol
