Never knowing the best place to keep and recharge our cell phones in a convenient place on the kitchen counter I looked in vain, searching online and in stores with no success, until I came up with this cheap and easy solution to our problem....
A perfect size and shape with a perfect price
The kitchen seems to be the center of our home for keeping important things in view, and we didn't want to forget to charge or take our cell phones.

We have limited wall space to hang things so the kitchen counter seems the most logical. But I had feared the moisture from splashing water at the sink would damage our phones. And I wanted to keep them safe on the counter as far from the sink as possible....So size and price was a issue, until I found this.

I happened to be at a Five Below store and found this for $4. It was long and narrow, with just the right sized compartments for the number of electronic devices we have. It keeps them upright and was easy to fit just under the electric outlet too.
Personalizing it with color
The original color was a little over the top for our kitchen so with the help of some spray paint (Rust-Oleum's Painter's touch, 2X, Ultra cover Paint and Primer in Stain, color- Nutmeg) that covers almost anything, indoor or out, I sprayed it a more neutral color to blend in more with my kitchen and counter top. (You could do a lot more with decorations if you wanted, but I just wanted something functional.)
Finished product
Its roughly 12"long, by 3" deep by 3"(front)and about 6" (back). Fits nicely on the counter, holds two of our cellphones with room in the back for the charger or larger tablet, and even has a small space on the end for my glasses, which I am always hunting for. The metal tag holder was perfect to write "recharge" on.

It really works well for us and keeps everything all centrally located in one easy convenient spot. I'm happy. :-)
