Candy Corn Vases

2 Materials
This is a simple fall crafting project we made last year out of thrifted glass vases.
Wash vases. The vases I used had been previously used in a craft. The crafter had used white glue & food coloring to stain the outside which easily washed off in hot, soapy water. If they are not dirty, at least wipe them down with white vinegar or alcohol to remove grease & fingerprints.
Spray entire bottle with several light coats of white gloss paint.
Once dry, spray bottom third of vase using a very light spray of yellow rotating the vase as you go. I place the vase on a lazy susan which makes rotating easy. Most of the white should be covered. A heavy coat is not needed. You are working towards a light, airy look with a smattering of the previous color intermixing with the next.
Repeat with orange and dry overnight!
Suggested materials:
  • 3 vases of similar height/look   (Orange gloss spray paint)
  • White gloss spray paint   (Yellow gloss spray paint)
