Easy DIY Autumn Coasters

Easy
These DIY Autumn coasters are simple to make. Instead of resin, they use a spray to form a heat resistant coating (to 500 degrees!) which seals and protects.
Add a touch of fall decor to your living area with these easy to make autumn coasters. These coasters are great! I've been using them in my family room the last few months, and they clean up nicely while being heat resistant.

The spray heat resistant coating is MUCH easier to use than a resin product.
Clip out fall leaves, stems, twigs, etc from colored card stock.
Paint on a thin, even layer of Mod Podge on top of your tile.

Add cut outs and place them in a design of your choice.

Allow to dry, Mod Podge again.

Allow to dry.
Spray heat resistant coating in a well ventilated area.

You are following the directions on the packaging which involved three sprays, and dry time.
While definitely an easy project, it did have quite a few steps (you will find the complete tutorial at the link below). The nicest thing about this was the 500 degree resistance with NO resin. Talk about easy-peasy!

Clean up is a breeze too. I have goobed these with coffee and just wiped clean. Truly simple. It was so easy, I did two different types, and they were finished in no time flat!

I did experiment with backings (since we have wood furniture), and Hubby's recommendation was awesome!
