DIY Fall Decor: Faux Concrete Pears

2 Materials
It is no secret that fall is my favorite time of year. There is nothing better than flannel blankets, hooded sweatshirts and cooler temps outside. There. Is. Nothing. Better. We have been so busy with the back porch makeover that I haven’t been able to pull my fall decor out yet. I am itching to get started. I know for a lot of you this is way too early, but in Blog Land, things move a lot quicker than normal. Even though my fall decor isn’t out yet, I have scored a few pieces at yard sales that I have been transforming with fall in mind. These Faux Concrete Pears were the last project I finished.
I picked these pears up at a yard sale for 50¢ each. I loved their shape and their size. I was not a fan of their color, but you know me…… I knew I could change that.
To start making these pears over, I set up my (aff link) Small HomeRight Spray Shelter .
Then I sprayed them all Rustoleum Heirloom White.
The creamy white paint didn't cover like I thought it would so I gave up on the pears. Then, after a few days, I thought I would revisit them. I painted them all with (aff link) "Linen" from Fusion Mineral Paint and they started looking like concrete!
I wanted to add a little more depth to them so I rubbed Antiquing Wax all over them. Now, they were perfect.
I am super excited how these Faux Concrete Pears turned out. They are going to look great in our home during the fall season.
