of course there should be pix of what we started with... Step 1: On the changing table top there was a hole with broken rope under a bolt.... We removed all of that and filled in the hole with spackle. Then commenced to clean it all...

Step 2: Sand EVERYTHING... Step 3: First coat of paint...

Step 4: Let dry and add second coat of paint...

Step 5: Let Dry and add Polyurethane...

Step 6: Add chalkboard paint... Step 7: Let dry and add another coat of chalkboard paint... :)

Step 6: I happened by some cute duct tape on the clearance aisle. So, cool! The new baby's name is June and we were calling her June Bug long before she was born. It was just too fitting to pass up so, I got an xacto knife and put it on one of the shelves and the changing table top.

Step 7: I needed new drawer pulls and I have always wanted to make my own. These are made from perfume bottle tops.

I filled them with gorilla glue. Only half way because it expands. ~I sanded that down after letting it dry for a few days and filled in any gaps with spackle. I don't know that, that helps anything, though. Spackle really isn't that tough.

~Then drilled a hole for the bolt, screwed the bolt in before putting it onto the drawer to make it easier to assemble when putting it onto the drawer ~ I added some Loctite stick n' seal extreme conditions into the hole before finally assembling the drawer pulls to the drawer.. If anyone else ever wants to change the drawer pulls they may have problems but, at least I do not have to worry that these will ever come off while I'm using it... lol

And, finito
