How to Make Ribbon Pumpkins

I had this 1.5-inch orange ribbon sitting in my craft stash over two years. Don't ask me why I got that ribbon.I seriously don't remember that .Maybe I would have thought to do something but at the end, it did not turn out good or maybe it was on sale.(High possibilities :P)Whatever! Today I am sharing how to make pumpkins with that 1.5-inch ribbon.
Make the center base of the pumpkin using empty toilet paper roll. Cut five to six slits on the top and bottom of the empty roll.Cut one slit all the way down .Cut the slits part and use the center part .Apply some glue to the center part and stick it to the paper roll. This is done to decrease the diameter of the paper roll. If you want to keep the diameter as such. You can go ahead and just join the top and bottom slits.Attach them together with hot glue so that they resemble like a pumpkin skeleton.
Measure and cut the ribbon in such a way that it should go one inch inside the roll in the top and bottom to secure it with the glue. Cut as many strips as needed. I used 7 strips to make this pumpkin.
Glue the ribbon one inch inside on the top and take it to the bottom and glue it in the same way. Repeat the same for all the ribbon strips by overlapping them with the previously glued ribbon.

The pumpkin is now done.
To learn how I completed the rest of the pumpkin, you can visit the blog link below.
Hope you like this mini pumpkins. You can also make these pumpkins bigger with the paper towel roll as the center. If you do try it, let me know how it turned out. Share what you think in the comments below. As always I will be happy to hear from you.

This is such a cute idea. I did have a thought for different sized pumpkins (I haven't tried) useing varying size of cans. Just cut out out top and bottom and follow the same instructions. The possibilities are endless

I am guessing cans means soda cans. That can also be used as an alternative to paper rolls. Good idea :) Thank you :)
