Christmas Lamp Design Challenge

I am still in shock that I was selected to participate in this amazing challenge sponsored by Hometalk and Lamps Plus!
The instructions were easy. Using a fillable ovo lamp from Lamps Plus, decorate the lamp for the December holidays. So, I had lots of freedom here!
I wanted to create something that would go with my Christmas decor, but that could also be easily taken apart and used for other seasons throughout the year.
I ended up with the design I chose because I thought this lamp would look great on our entryway buffet where I place all the photos of our kids with Santa from the previous years. So, with the kids in mind, I chose to fill the lamp with shatter proof ornaments that resembled candy. I tied that design in by adding a line from the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Using my Silhouette machine, I cut out the letters to spell "While visions of sugar plums danced in their heads." I used hot glue to glue the letters onto burlap ribbon. I wrapped the lamp with some red Deco Mesh Ribbon, and then wrapped my burlap ribbon around that. Finally, I tied a burlap ribbon around the neck of the lamp.
Of course I couldn't stop there, and ran up the attic and pulled out my photos of the kids to see what it would all look like come December.
My finished lamp all decked out in candy and ready for Christmas.
Step One: Fill the lamp with candy-like ornaments. I chose the shatter proof kind just to be safe!
Step Two: Wrap red Deco Mesh Ribbon around the lamp shade.
Step Three: Either write or cute out letter and glue onto burlap ribbon. Add candy shaped wire to the ribbon.
Step Four: Tie burlap ribbon around the neck of the lamp.
All decked out and ready for Christmas!

Very pretty. How did you get the ornaments inside the lamp base? It seems to me like it would be like a dilemna of how to get a ship in a bottle!!
