Need some ideas on what to do with a lampshade....it's in good condition except the top wire that hold it on a lamp is missing....so thought maybe it could become something else??? Any ideas?
A link I found on a Pinterest board shows many ways to repurpose for a continued use as a lamp shade, or if the frame is good you could turn it into a basket or a chandelier, very nice: http://foter.com/explore/arts-and-crafts-lamp...
Can't tell what size it is, but you could turn upside down and put a round cut board on it and use for inside or outside side table...They are pretty sturdy..and is very eclectic!!! Have fun with it!
You could spray paint it and apply felt flowers with vintage costume jewelry for centers. See below link. You would need to repair the shade connection to the lamp. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/55/...
I did go to Pinterest and type in "lampshade repurpose" however there were no lampshades repurposed only redone . Sorry to say that is not the same thing .
I have recovered in a vintage material in the past. Or, take all the fabric off and use as a rustic/farmhouse/industrial look...just leave it bare (paint if you want too).
If you have a cat, give it to her! First make sure there are no wires or sharp edges. Remove what you want from it (fabric?) or not, and cover it up with an old sweater. The neck hole of the sweater becomes a hole for her to peer out of on the narrow end, the waist/hip end will hang over the open side, but will be perrfect if placed on the floor, on it's side, for kitty to play in! You can tuck the sleeves inside the shade or leave them hanging out. I did this for my cat and he claimed it as his bed!
I love the "leave it bear" idea and also the one for covering a waste basket. If you leave it bear you can put clear tiny Christmas lights all inside of it.
I saw one with just the bare wire. Then flowers were glued to the wire of the lamp. Turn it upside down and add 3 wire chains to hang this. Looked beautiful
Cut fabric off and make a wind chime using old forks, knives & spoons or what ever tickles your fancy. Copper pipe, old tools, horse shoes, hang with a 3 point wire at small end. Hang on porch, tree or from the ceiling. You can use fishing line to tie your choice of items from the wire at top and bottom wire frame, just make sure all your lengths are the same after attaching them. You could probable just cut the center fabric out with a razor box cutter and leave the wire covered with fabric if used inside

Wrap it in fabric and bling it with fringe. Deborah's answer is perfect! You can find ideas for EVERYTHING on Pinterest.
