Vintage Style Wood Crate With French Graphic

I used a craft store wooden crate to make this vintage style soap crate. I use it for flowers, books, or seasonal displays on our coffee table.
The crate project was easy to put together, and just took a couple of hours to make.
I used Chambray colored stain from AmericanaDecor for this project. The stain is one coat coverage, and does not need a finish coat. I used a regular paint brush to apply, but you could also use a foam brush.
After the crate was dry I cut a piece of leather from an old leather dog leash to make a handle. The handle was secured with phillips screws. The french soap label was a free download, you can get it off my website at the bottom of this post. The label was decoupaged in place with matte decoupage medium.
The crate has a nice vintage look to it, even though it isn't old at all. I especially love it full of fresh hydrangeas from our garden. More details on the blog.
