DIY Farmhouse Style Wreaths

I have a cabinet in my kitchen with 'french style' doors on it. They also have glass on them so you can see whatever is stored on the inside of the cabinet. I keep it stocked nicely with all my glassware. But I always felt they were just begging to be adorned with a magnolia or farmhouse style wreath of some kind! Now this is where things get interesting... I didn't have a wreath form on hand. But luckily I did have a sprig of foliage from Joann Craft that I wasn't really using! So I cut it all up and hot glued the pieces into two separate wreaths... Here's a closer look at how I did it!
First I cut up the leafy branch thingy from Joann. It was actually a good thing that these didn't end up working for me in the space I had them before! That's a win right there.
After I got the pieces of leaves ready to go, I got to hot gluing. Ya'll... burns galore is all I can say. Worth it! Just be careful and work slow and you'll be good! I was rushing because I had a time crunch to beat the guests who were actively on their way over at the time I was making these. Ha! So unfortunately because of this, I don't actually have any action shots of me making the wreaths.
So basically all you will need to do is take two leaf pieces and glue the stems of them together. Wait for that to dry, and continue on until you have shaped a small wreath! That's honestly it. Pretty easy stuff!
And this is what you will end up with! I used a simple black ribbon to hang mine, but that might change in the future. Just waiting for that perfect ribbon or string or whatever to catch my eye. But for now, this is how they are. And I honestly love them.
You can still see the pretty glass and some of my dishes that are displayed behind it, but these just add an extra touch to the kitchen.
Someday I may paint that honey oak and change out the knobs. But this house we're in will eventually become a rental for us to manage. So for now, this is how it will be. And I guess i'm ok with that!
I was super happy with how these turned out! It actually worked out better then I imagined they would. And how often does that happen? I mean really...

Thanks so much for reading!
