I’ve seen these decorative mirrors made out of spoons in a number of places on the internet and was curious to try it myself. I really didn’t want to get into the practice of painting plastic spoons though, so I made sure to find spoons that were a pretty color. Step 1: Gather your materials
I used colored plastic spoons, a round mirror, hot glue, and I had previously prepared a round piece of cardboard that I had spray painted blue and green.
Here's my cut up, colored cardboard paper. Step 2: Glue the mirror in the center
I just used a few squirts of hot glue to stick the mirror onto the center of my cardboard. Step 3: Add the spoons
I cut the spoons with a pair of scissors just before the spoon met the handle, and then added a dab of hot glue on the bottom of the spoon cup to secure it to the cardboard.
I chose to make a semi-ombre pattern with my spoons, but if you're not into that, you can easily make it all one color. Step 4: Sand down the center circle (optional)
I sanded the spoons down that go in the center circle so that the edge that’s seen is nicer.
Look how nice it turned out!
Also, say hello to Mason (in the video only)! This cute little puppy is being fostered by one of our staff until she’s old enough to be trained as a seeing eye dog. If you are interested in raising seeing eye puppies, contact your local chapter of guiding eyes or similar local organization.

spoon handles could be repurposed for garden markers as well

Yes....Anthony...I'm heard of that...plastic knife handles better as they are flat and you can use permanent marker to indicate name of plant (or where you put certain seeds!!).
