Getting rid of creeping charlie

Do you have any ideas for what I can use to get rid of creeping charlie other than using  chemicals?

Boiling water in main root. May take a lot to get down to the bottom. Like most vines, these put down roots as they grow. You will have to be diligent at the start to hit every one. There is weed killer that doesn't kill grass if  you get desperate or want the job done quicker.

The only way I can even keep any alive is in hanging baskets because chickens LOVE it! If you're in an area where you can keep even one or two,.....  It'll be gone in a day.  Actually, a couple of hours!

I have always used boric acid.  Think Borax.  It doesn't kill it, but it reduces the amount.  Tough on some grasses in your lawn, so be careful.  I treat in the fall, so then in spring you can start pulling the survivors.  I inherited this large lawn creeping Charlie patch when we bought our cabin so it has been in this yard for decades. I pulled some up from the lawn and planted it as an edge plant  in a planter this year.  It survived better than it's pot partners- petunias.  It even bloomed those little blue flowers.  :)

My mother, who would be 92 this year, weeded with this. A bottle of RoundUp concentrate and a long handled #3 sable paint brush. She would lightly brush several leaves of the offending plant and it would be dead soon. She also murmured a prayer over them. You rarely saw weeds in my mother's 5 acres of landscaping.
