Blackberry Lily

This is why they are called Blackberry lilies. I found my first plant/seeds about 7 years ago in the woods by my house here in VA. I have given/traded the seeds and enjoy the July blooms and the interesting contrast but so similar to the Iris in the garden. They get about 4' tall here and I have had to cut tomato cages in half to support the plants because the seed pods get so heavy. They bring back a memory from way back and every year when they bloom I am reminded how green my thumb really is.
