Sentimental House Windows Accent Garden

We were given these two small bedroom windows from my husband's childhood home. Some of the original panes were cracked, but overall, the windows were in good condition. With a few replaced stained glass, the windows became a sentimental piece of garden art.
I replaced 5 of the original panes with stained glass sheets. One original pane I etched our surname initial on it. Love the look!
The second window panes were intact, so I etched two Fleur de Lis patterns on the panes with a stencil and etching cream. I love the way the sun catches the etchings at different times of the day.
We decided to hang the windows with clear nylon string, so they appear to be floating. With an ivy wall background, the windows are hung from an iron wall hanging bracket extending 8" from the wall, which is lost in the ivy.
Suggested materials:
  • Old windows, stained glass sheets, etching cream, nylon string, iron wall bracket.   (Hardware and craft stores)
