Cait from Little City Farmhouse used Sea Storm to add color and intrigue to her front entryway!
Hello!

I am popping in today to share with you a really fun project I did recently to spruce up my front entry!

I have had this rug for years, but it was dull and I wanted to add a little pop of colour and interest to my front entry. After searching for months, I couldn’t find what I wanted anywhere, so I decided to make my own!
This rug had a herringbone pattern already so I decided to go with it. I taped it off the areas I wanted to paint with painters tape. Because of the unevenness and texture of the rug, I painted along the edge of the tape with a good coat of Tough Coat. This creates a seal along the tape and prevents any bleeding!
Once that was dry, I painted the taped off areas in Sea Storm. I ended up doing two coats to get a decent coverage. Some areas weren’t perfect, but I’m definitely not all about perfection – between kids and shoes and backpacks the rug is well used! I let it dry and cure for about 48 hours before I put it back at the front door. It adds the perfect pop of colour and interest!
