What to Do With Barn Wood Scraps

2 Materials
A variety of different sized pieces of barn wood were left from our basement remodel project. The wood was too gorgeous to pitch it but there really wasn't enough do any project with. So after thinking about it for a couple of months, I was able to repurpose it into a couple different types of uses.
This was easy. Cut the wood to the desired size, cleaned it and wax with a tinted ochre wax. Let dry, hung hooks.
These metal letters were purchased from Michael's store almost a year prior. Had them sitting in a bag not sure where/how to use them. Again preparing the wood was easy. Simply cut the desired sizes, glued the pieces together, used some scrap 1x2 pieces of wood to brace the pieces from the back and added a hanger.
Suggested materials:
  • Barn wood
  • Metal letters and metal hooks
