Cleaned up Popcorn Popper

I got the 40-yr-old greasy popcorn maker agreeably degreased!
I used three applications of paste made from baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice. Each application was left overnight and scrubbed of the next day.
From now on, I will remove the pot from the bottom of the popper and scrub it up every time. The bottom part did not come out as well as I had hoped and I didn't want to mess with the electrical innards. Would you believe the popcorn tastes better?
