Remove duct tape residue on my shower wall

I had a leak in my surround wall in the tub. So someone told me to use gorilla tape until I can have someone professional to fix it. Well, the leaks is fixed but the glue from the duct tape is stuck on my walls in the shower.

Goo Gone is the best stuff I've come across for removing sticky residue. I've worked in industrial maintenance for 40 years and this is what I've found to do the best job without really harsh chemical solvents. The material tub surrounds are made of is very sensitive to solvents. Test the Goo Gone on a very small unobtrusive area, before spreading it all over you spot.

WD 40 is good, Goo Gone ( a blend of solvents) will work but be careful - too much too long will mar the surround. Rubbing alcohol is safer because it evaporates quickly. Acetone works well too, It is stronger than most of the others and evaporates quickly. Which ever you choose to try - use terry cloth to apply the solvent and remove the tape residue flipping it to a clean cloth surface often.

Peanut butter works also. You just rub it on, wait about 5 mins, then rub it right off.

Contractors solvent works also. You can buy it at any lumber yard. It isn't really strong smelling but works great. I have asthma so can't handle strong smells.
