Easy Fall Decorating With Apothecary Jars

3 Materials
I've joined a great group of bloggers for a season creative challenge and this fall's challenge was a set of apothecary jars.
This is what they looked like out of the box. We each received 4 jars and I only used three because I was always taught to group items in odd numbers. The jars a so nice so I'm sure I'll put the fourth one to good use.
It's fall and I love to decorate so I immediately thought of a nice grouping for a centerpiece. I also noticed that a pint sized jar fit nicely in this larger jar. Great for holding fall flowers.
Still I felt I needed to cover the mason jar and hide the flower stems. I tried purchasing a bag of acorns but it would have cost me $50 to fill three large jars so I looked around and found this pretty popcorn in nice fall colors.
The popcorn was about $3 a bag and one bag easily filled the jar.
I decided to add pillar candles in the other two jars for a little ambiance. If you like easy and affordable projects like this one you may want to check out my projects page HERE page.

If you need to fill a jar with something and want to save a little money, place a jar, glass, tp roll or something just to take up some space inside the jar in the middle. May want to add a lid or top of some kind. Or it may be perfect left open just to place your flower arrangement in!

Fill around it and no one will ever know you cheated just a little.
