I sorted through a bin of broken, tangled, & one earring missing, jewelry at my local thrift shop hang out, & came up with this necklace! They said I could have it for a mere dollar for my troubles.
Pieces were missing, & I have PLENTY of jewelry I don't even wear. So I took it apart.
Gathered my materials, Glue gun, trinkets, toilet paper rolls, burlap, twine, ... (Excuse Boo Boos paw please) Kitty photo bomb.
Cut my toilet paper rolls & burlap strips about 1 & 1/4 in. wide. Added hot glue to secure them. Rolled them into place. Then trimmed the sides.
Time to get fancy! Using twine I made each one different. It was fun to see the many ways I could wrap them, even added a couple faux pearls for embellishments. .
They turned out very pretty for my Autumn table settings.
Can you tell they started out as costume jewelry?

I saw this before and the crafter first wrapped a plastic bag around the roll of toilet tissue to make it rounder.
