How do I make a spice rack?

Looking to make a spice rack for over my stove. Never made anything before.

Spices should not be any where near a stove. They lose their potency when near heat. Despite what you see in magazines it is a definite no - no

You do not want to have spices over the stove. It causes them to loose flavor more quickly.

You can keep them on a nearby wall by hanging a piece of steel on the wall and attaching jars with magnets .http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Magnetic-Spice-Rack/

or, you can just go to Dollar Tree and get their single shelf metal spice racks, that way you can get many as you need.

remember over the stove it gets very hot and spices and herbs etc loose their flavor with heat.....set away from heat....anyhow I used old wood soda crates,,,you can find them usually in antique stores....
