I use one in the garage as a paper towel holder. Untwist it put the paper towel roll on and retwist. Then hang on the edge of a shelf or a eyebolt screwed into the shelf. You can also untwist one and use it to retrieve something that has fallen under or behind cabinet. I always keep one or two around as they seem to be helpful.

Keep one in the trunk of the car to temp fix dragging muffler, or to hold trunk lid down when carrying something to large. Bend to oval or round and cover with stocking to make skimmer or net. Make extra-large bubble wands. The possibilities are endless.

They can be cut up and bent and be used for plant hangers, or to hand items with spray painting or painted and used for over-the-door hangers

You can round out a wire hanger, and buy black crepe place on table then put rounded wire on the piece of crepe. Next trace around the coat hanger with white caulk encircling an inch more of crepe before to give it extra material . Then fold it as you go along the wire and staple it to the wire until the circle is covered with the black crepe. Use different colored felt to make cat eyes, nose mouth and ears. Use pipe cleaners for the whiskers and you have a Halloween Cat to start off the month of October. The children would love this whether it is for them to see as a decoration or to make depending on their age of course.

Many years ago, a neighbor took about a hundred wire hangers and made a trellis for a climbing vine to build a shade wall for his patio. Just take the hook of one hanger and squeeze it around the bottom sides of 2 hangers laid end to end. The top row can hook over a pipe or board. Continue the pattern and make as small or large as needed. A bit late in the year for most parts of the country but some areas provide growing season most of the year. Phil
