Industrial Pumpkins Made From Brick Ties!

I have been seeing pumpkins. Super cute pumpkins...everywhere, and lamenting that I had none. So when inspiration hit, I set to work and made some fun industrial style pumpkins with some brick ties I had laying around in my garage. When I made these I had no idea what the metal pieces were, but I figured it was better to use them for something, and why not make pumpkins out of them! They are easy and fun for a little spin on your fall decor.
These are the brick ties you can find at Home Depot, mine were just a little different.
With a nail and hammer I punched two holes in the end of each brick tie.
Then I bent the brick ties into a semi circle shape.
Then using twist tie wire I "sewed" the pieces together, to form a circle on the bottom using 6 brick ties. Then I attached them at the top the same way.
With a stick for a stem and some ribbon they are fun and cute little industrial pumpkins!
They are so fun and unique! Be sure to check out the full tutorial on my blog!

The metal pieces that you're using are brick ties. I know this as we have many left over from a 23 foot wall of bricks for the fireplace that was installed and you have to provide a connection between the wood structure and brick façade when installing brick every so often per code so your wall of brick is fastened to your wall....just a little note on that:)

@Connie Eise Thanks so much! It is good someone knows what they are, I actually just discovered what they were today, I went to Home Deopt and found someone who could tell me! I am heading over to update my blog with my new found discovery! Since you have some left over you should make some pumpkins, lol! Hugs!
