What to do with wooden cable spools?

Have large spools that the solar power company used for their wire cables and want to know what I can make out of them, maybe a table?

    They make wonderful tables for a patio. You can paint them any color, or use a round vinyl tablecloth over the top. good luck!

    SAND DOWN THE ROUGH SPOTS AND USE IT AS A PATIO TABLE OR A PLANT DISPLAY. THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO USE THESE , YOU CAN EVEN USE THEM AS CARD TABLES. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. GOOD LUCK.

    they are great as tables if you have company over you can host an outside party....we on the coast use them for eating boiled seafood,,, they are great

    Cut them in half, add backings to them if they are the small ones and you have extra seating in your back yard. Just add some cushions. I wish I had some of them. They were the first dining room table I had when I moved out on my own some 45 years ago now. I was given a huge round piece of heavy thick glass and there was my table. I hope this helps.

    sand and varish or chalk paint it add a glass top.can even add deviders around the base for cook books or just for knick-knacks displayed around or maybe seashells.

    Back in the 60's and 70's : ) these were made into tables for the indoors or outdoors. artifacts like coins, or photos, newspaper clipping, artwork, costume jewelry, etc. were placed on the tops of these tables and they were heavily covered with polyurethane or varnished. Now, they are like time capsules. These are fun and I hope not too dated for you. You will, no doubt, put your own spin on them and I would love to see the finished product/s. : )

    I saw on here I think someone cut their's in half and made shelves on a wall. She used them in her sewing rm. and put her sewing nick knacks on them.
