How to move from wall a triple padded king size bed

I'm a 115lbs. 5'4 female. I'm strong but, trying to move my king size bed away from a wall I'm painting seems fruitless. The bed it's on carpet, it's a great bed with triple padding, needing 20" + sheets. I don't have any neighbors that I would feel comfortable coming into my bedroom. Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I could leverage myself to move it?

Can you push the mattress off the bed and then stand it up against another wall or piece of furniture to lighten the bed enough so you can move it?

Lowes/HD has furniture movers that make moving furniture across carpet easier. One for each leg. Create lever with fulcrum and rod to raise each leg. then turn fulcrum sideways and place against the wall and move the bed from wall. A fulcrum can be a rock, concrete block, several pieces of wood. Rod can be a shovel handle, crow bar etc. Anything a couple feet long. If you are old enough to remember a see-saw, if you move the board off center, you have a lever.

If nothing makes sense, I'm sorry. After I've been on this site for awhile, all kind of weird things start to happen.

Gosh, I wish. That mattress is so top heavy. Thankyou though.

Buy furniture sliders and the move will be easy. However you might need to perform the "foot maneuver" to get the sliders in position...lol.

If you have a heavy piece of furniture you need moved and you have no help, you'll need to push the sliders into place with your toes or foot. Sometimes my husband lifts but I can't get to the furniture we want to move...in those cases we use a yardstick to push the sliders into place. Another trick I've used in the past as a single woman...sit on the floor and push the furniture with your feet. I've moved lots like this.

If you try to lift one leg at a time and slide whatever you have, i.e. slider, under the leg you just might succeed. The underlying principle is that at each leg you only lift about a quarter of the bed's weight. Hope that helps.

the furniture sliders work like a dream. There is now a set with an extra piece that allows you to lift each corner easily to slip the pad under. It works like a fulcrum. It is white in color.

Yes. The thought of using of my furniture sliders gave me hope, because of the encouragement from hometalkers that responded, I didn't need the sliders physically), finally got me in the frame of mind that it's going to take all my strength (like former heavy -weighting) mind over matter (do not give up!!) that got the job done. Thank you so much. It probably doesn't seem like a big deal, but I have tried, then given up for 4yrs? Tried a test color painting, too bright. Back to the store, I'm excited.
