How to wrap jars/vases in jute rope or raffia

When wrapping jars/vases in something like jute rope or raffia, what's the best way to keep it in place so it doesn't slid up and down the glass or come undone, hot glue?

I used double sided carpet tape.

When I am using something like that or twine I use a small dab of hot glue. Double sided tape would also work well to hold it as a placemarker.

@ParrotheadsnYep, I've had great success with double sided tape. I no longer have fingerprints thanks to hot glue!

Rubber bands. They stay in place and can be moved on the jar as your rope, raffia, twine is put into place.

If you don't like using hot glue which works really great, use Aileen's Fast Grab Sticky Glue.

I used Original Super Glue 5/8fl oz tube $1.00 from Dollar Tree in the auto dept. It works on every thing, I used a tooth pick to apply it. I all so used ribbon on the bottles. Char Belange
