Getting pet urine smell out of carpets

I steam cleaned my runner but the bottom of it smells like urine still.  How can  I get the smell out?

First have you checked  the floor under the carpet? Second for pet urine odors the only product that will work is Natures Miracle.If the odor has seeped into the wood you must clean that as well.

I took mine out side and put deluded Oxi clean laundry detergent on it and turned my hose on it and spray it till I had didn't ' foam any more and  hung it
over my chain link fence till dry,  worked for me..

I mixed powdered oxy clean laundry  additive with water and soaked the carpet outside, scrubbed it front and back then hosed it and let it dry

Take peroxide and mix with white vinegar and baking soda, careful as baking soda makes peroxide foam this mixture will kill enzymes from pet urine and remove smell, on linoleum and hard surfaces will leave a white film,  let sit then mop away
