Cat-food tins

I'm looking for an idea of how to make something out of the 3.5 oz cat-food tins. I hate to have to throw them away (or recycle) and with two cats feeding, I have many, many, many. Anyone have a good idea for cat-food tins?

Clean them, spray paint them different colors, nail them to a couple boards, number them inside, lean it against wall, get small 'hacky-sack balls, ping pong, golf balls or make some small sand bags and use it as a bean bag toss game for parties or charity events.

i took mine and used some metal cutters and cut strips down the sides. Then I painted them put them on wooden post with one screw. Then I applied craft moss for the center. Made yard flowers for my yard. They are so pretty and colorful.

All good ideas and I certainly will try them. However, I generate at least sixty of these little cans a month times twelve months.....well, you do the math. I doubt there is any use for that many cans. I've decided to write to Purina and suggest that they package their product in something that can be burned or disposed of in a more environmentally friendly way. Thanks for the ideas.

way back we used to make pin cushions out of tuna cans - the possibilities are endless - make them and sell them - a nice little money maker - materials you will need - styrofoam ball - either fabric or yarn - some whimsical decorations - and voila - you have re - used the cans - also think seasonal! oh - btw - leave the lid attached - it will serve as the back if you want to make your pin cushion look like a chair
