I have a super easy DIY decor idea for you today. I had a bunch of cardboard letters lying around from another craft, so I decided to put them to good use. I made a cute, simple vintage sign that makes an adorable decoration. You probably have the supplies lying around your house, just use the paint and the wood you've already got. Here is how you make a vintage sign for yourself:
I love the look of those old vintage signs. This is an easy way to make one for your home decor.
You just need a wooden board. I had some laying around the garage and used that.
You also need spray paint and/or acrylic paint in whatever colors you choose. I ended up using both, but you can use one or the other interchangeably. Spray your board with a nice layer of paint for the background.
You also need cardboard letters, vinyl lettering, ABC stickers, or even blue painter's tape (as you can see from above) to make the words that you want on the sign. Adhere them down temporarily. I used painter's tape for this. Paint over the letters with another layer or paint and let dry.
When the 2nd layer of paint is dry then carefully remove the letters. Use sandpaper to scratch up the edges and make it look old and vintage. More info and details are on my website at www.makinglifeblissful.com
