Cat Tree With Crates

My hubby found some old wooden crates that were getting thrown out by the side of the road. We have 3 cats and 2 Chihuahuas who think they are cats. We needed some additional sleeping areas for our pets, so that's how the idea for this project came to mind.
I cleaned off the crates and brushed them lightly with some leftover paint we had sitting in the shed.
I positioned the crates and my husband screwed them together and put bolts on the ends.
The fabric I got on sale from an upholstery shop and I asked the owner If her had any scrap pieces of foam. I told him what I was doing and he just gave the foam to me.
