Kitchen Renovation!!!! Before and After!!!

by Beth Horner
I was asked to take this outdated kitchen and transform it into a kitchen that my client would love. She gave me pretty much free reign to do what I wanted. After figuring out what colors and themes she liked, I got to work. I removed the kitchen island and the double oven with cabinets and had a bar with cabinets constructed. I had custom concrete countertops made and replaced the old formica counters. We installed new laminate flooring. We added a copper tin backsplash, painted the walls a sage green, the cabinets a cream with my mocha glaze and added new copper pendant lighting above the bar. And also replaced the other lighting with new, updated lights.
Kitchen before
Found some gorgeous, old vintage corbels at an antique store to use for the bar.
Before of the old double oven and cabinets.
New bar that was constructed.
Cabinets by fridge
After of the fridge cabinets
Painted the wainscotting of the walls the same as the cabinets and glazed them. Stained the shutters and the windowsill a dark java gel stain by General Finishes.
New cabinets and bar
Copper tin backsplash, removed the soffets, raised the center cabinets, built a custom spice rack
Stained the pallet a java gel stain by General Finishes and added twine and clothespins to hold those special papers from school
custom build spice rack. Burned the wood to give it more character
Took out old shutter doors and replaced it with a regular bedroom door and painted it cream.
