    You can and should grind ice in your garbage disposal. Along with cooked chicken bones. This helps to keep the "teeth" sharp. Don't put egg shell peels, or vegetable peels, that can clog it.

      And do NOT put celery in the garbage disposal....as the strings will clog it also
