Door Headboard With a Twist!

Vintage Headboards
by Vintage Headboards
A couple of days ago we received a very very heavy door. It was originally a solid core slab door that had 3/4" tongue and groove oak boards on the front with beveled edges. Nonetheless when factoring in for the oak that was added made this a bit of a beast.
We were asked to trim it down and make it fit a queen size bed. With the added thickness of the oak on the front we had to make passes with the saw on both the front and the back.
Once it was cut to size we sanded the poly down on the front and began adding the sides, legs and crown molding shelf.
We filled the partially exposed hole from the handle - did final filling and sanding then prepped it for spraying.
Our Customer asked that we spray it Dover White.
This is the final results.
Please let us know what you think.
