How To Make Your Tomato Cage Fly!!

I was given a vintage wood propeller, and knew it had to take flight! I've always loved folk art and find myself making a lot of folk art pieces, but this one is probably my favorite....today! :)
First I gathered a few items together that I thought would make a neat plane. I used a tomato cage, an old wood lazy susan, some plywood I had left from another project, and some metal straps.
I snipped the end of the cage and bent one let up for the rudder, and bent the two sides at a 90 degree angle for the back wings. I held them together with wire.
I cut out 3 circles for the wheels, drilled a hole in the middle of each, painted them to look like wheels, then bent the metal strap in half to hold the wheels, then used nuts/bolts to secure them.
I drilled a hold in the center of the propeller and attached it to the lazy Susan, then attached it to the cage using two metal straps/nuts/bolts.
I attached my wings with some sort of metal clamps. (Not sure what they are but knew I'd need them someday when I found them) I cut out the rudder, drilled a hole just slightly smaller than the wire and slid it on. for the back wings, I used smaller metal straps and screwed them down.
Then I added a green neon light strip that's battery operated! Looks pretty cool when you see it in a room! It has 3 settings. Continuous, slow blink, fast blink.
I painted the wings with a red wash and painted the ends of the propeller red.
If you hung this outside on a covered porch, the wind would move the propeller! I wanted to take it a step further and put a light in it, but had already spent to much time on it. Thanks for lookin' :)
