Butternut Squash Vase

I'm a big fan of un-obstructive centerpieces on the holiday table. In our home we love our food, what more can I say! The key thing to consider on this project is to choose squashes that have a flat base so they can rest nicely on the table. I chopped the tops off of the butternut squashes and with a paring knife carved a 2 inch deep hole in the center. Filled it with water and added some flowers from a larger bouquet that I already had.
