DIY Molded Tiles With Print

A few months ago I discovered a beautiful webshop selling the most unique deco tiles. The tiles came in various shapes and sizes and were decorated with lovely prints and patterns. I`m sure I clicked every tile in the webshop and even sent a mail to the shop owner. I was so disapointed to find out that they didn`t send tiles abroad. I never forgot the beautiful tiles...
(you know what its like when you find something you just LOVE)
...so I decided to try to make something simular myself.
My tiles have a much simpler shape as I used plastic boxes (old screw boxes) and old cake tins as molds. You can use any mold you have in hand.
How to make tiles:

1. Mix the concrete with water. I used deco concrete. Pour concrete into the plastic molds and let it dry for a couple of days, depending on the size of the tile. To make the molds easy to remove when the concrete has hardened, you should grease the molds with cooking oil.
How to decorate tiles:

2. When the tiles have dried, decorate them with clipart from old interior magazines or prints with beautiful patterns
3. Measure the clipart to fit the tiles...
4. and glue the clipart to the tiles using mod podge
5. Let the mod podge dry....
...and decorate you garden with beautiful printed tiles!
