Quick and Easy DIY Makeup Organizing Tips

I personally don't have a lot of makeup but I helped a friend of mine get her ever growing makeup collection organized in a way that makes it easy for her to see what she has. I did it with very inexpensive materials and it's really simple to put together!
For the eye shadows, I used magnetic sheeting from old promotional magnets that I cut to fit the back of the eye shadow cases and glued onto the back.
Then I used galvanized sheet metal shingles (8" x 12") from the hardware store that only cost $1 each, secured those to a 1/4" thick plywood panel that I framed and decorated with grasscloth to make it prettier. All the eye shadows stick to the sheet metal, pretty simple!
For lipsticks and eye liners, I used inexpensive wire bins from IKEA, cut a small hole in the back so they could hang from hooks that I screwed onto the panels.
This way it's easy to remove the bins to find what you're looking for and put the bins back.
A really easy project to do and my friend loves her new makeup corner! To see more on this project, you can visit my website where I have a short video showing more details on each step.
